Dr. (Prof) Tamorish Kole : Graduated from Calcutta Medical College, Kolkata (India) affiliated to Calcutta University in 2001. He joined his residency program in Emergency Medicine at Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad (India) and completed the Fellowship in Emergency Medicine affiliated to the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK in 2003. He has also obtained the Membership of the College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in Accident & Emergency Medicine in 2006 and, Fellowship of the Royal Society of Medicine (London) in 2008.

Currently, Dr. Tamorish is the Group Service Line Manager for Emergency Medicine for Apollo Hospitals in India. In this role his primary responsibilities are to provide professional leadership & strategic direction as well as promote global standards of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Kole is a seasoned professional who comes with over 17 years of invaluable experience in Emergency Medical Services. He has vast experience in the field of Emergency Medicine and specialized skills of EM System Development, Clinical Governance, Disaster Medicine, Resuscitation Science, Mass Gathering Medicine, EM Advocacy, Handling Community projects & International Collaborations for Emergency Medicine. His prior experiences include Head of EM at Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata (2007-2008), Head of Emergency Services at Max Healthcare (2008-2017) and Chair of EM & Medical Director at Medeor Hospital, Delhi NCR (2017-2020).

Dr. Tamorish Kole Delivered his services to World Health Organization on Project- Integrated Health Project Implementation (Integrated Health Services) of WHO. To contribute to the local implementation and capacity building focusing on primary, emergency, critical, operative, or palliative integrated care of WHO.

Advisor For Emergency Care Services, Dealthcare Sector Skill Council. Dates From April 2022 - Till Date

Key role is to develop need-based training courses to further enhance skills and competence of the existing healthcare professionals for Emergency Care Services as envisioned by Hon`ble Prime Minister of India.

The Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Council has been promoted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) and Healthcare Industry Leaders representing both public and private sector. The key objective of the Council is to create a robust and vibrant eco-system for quality vocational education and skill development in Allied Healthcare space in the country. In addition, the Healthcare Sector Skill Council aims to serve as a single source of information on healthcare sector with specific reference to Skill and Human Resource Development in India.

Key achievements include

Max Emergency Care Network (2008 – 2017) – Development of Max Emergency Care Network in Delhi NCR with integration of Max ambulance services.

(2008 – 2014) and then in Punjab and Uttarakhand (2014 – 2017). During this tenure, Max Healthcare received Center of Excellence recognition for Max Super specialty Hospital, Saket (2015), Max Hospital, Shalimarbagh (2016) & max Healthcare for Institutional excellence award for promoting emergency medicine (2016) by Society for Emergency Medicine, India (SEMI).

Project Velocity (2015) - The primary aim of this comprehensive quality improvement project was to improve patient flow through the ED by optimizing key operational processes. With this project Median LOS for patient admitted to IP reduced by 24.5% from Nov 14 to Jan 15, 100% ER staff training was completed on communication & various clinical skills, 80% audit score to process compliant, Fast track process for CT & MRI was established & defined protocols for Common clinical conditions was established for OPD and IP patients. This project was recognized as Maximize Quality Project of the year creating customer impact by Max Group in 2015.
